ACTIVITIES
Adventure Campers participate in our whole array of camp activities. Within the course of each week, Adventure Campers experience a solid introduction and have the opportunity to participate in each activity at least one time.
Please see our FAQ for instructions on what to bring every day.
ADVENTURE CAMP
is also the best for those going into grades 2-8 who are first-time CMR campers. Every CMR camper may choose to spend the optional Thursday Overnight each week.
GROUPS
Groups are arranged in advance by age and length of enrollment for continuity within the group. When indicated on the registration form, old friends are placed together. Those coming looking for new friends are grouped together for more opportunities to meet others.
COUNSELORS
Each group has its own experienced counselor who is always with the group, working closely with each child, guiding, supervising, participating and assisting the activity instructors.
INSTRUCTORS
Each activity has its own specialized instructor or team of instructors who present safe, supervised and progressive instruction in a fun and supportive atmosphere.
ACTIVITY AREAS
Activities are spread out around Main Camp and separated by a 1-5 minute walk on trails through meadows and forest. Equipment is regularly checked for safety and supply inventories are continually restocked.
CAMP SPIRIT
Parents who went to camp as children may recognize the Colorado Mountain Ranch as a traditional summer camp community, with the same spirit and many of the same activities they remember. Camp is always an adventure!
TESTIMONIALS
As a career educator, I have been so impressed with the quality of programs offered at Colorado Mountain Ranch. The boys came home full of joy, wonder, music and friendship last summer. I couldn’t have asked for a greater blessing. They are still talking about their amazing experiences with you last year, singing your campfire songs and generally glowing with love for your program. Thank you so much for the opportunity!
Warmly, Diana
“When I think about Colorado Mountain Ranch I thought it was a good thing that I went there. I did many things like archery, horse back riding, gymnastics, made new friends, we went swimming, spent the night, participated in the flag raising ceremony, played games after lunch and shopped at the store. I would like to go back next year. One day I’d like to be a C.I.T. You have to be 13. Next year I will be 11. At CMR I did things I never knew I could. I learned that I was strong, smarter than I thought, and that I was good at making friends.”
